Andy graduated from Manchester Victoria University, in 1991. As an undergraduate, his specialised area of study was crown and bridge restoration.

After graduating, he worked in general NHS practice for two years, before moving into private practice in association with Drs Hans and Peter Kurer.  In furthering his dental education, he undertook a 2 year Advanced Restorative course, and a separate 3 year Occlusion course, including a 2 year Implant Training Course, which was multi-system.

Following this extensive further education, Andy moved to a private practice in Chester, where he remained for 7 years and began placing and restoring implants, placing grafts and chin-blocks and carrying out more specific restorative dentistry.

Andy then began teaching both undergraduates and graduates at Manchester Dental Hospital, in the areas of restorative and surgical dentistry, typically under intravenous sedation. He continued this teaching part-time for 6 years.

Following this, Andy moved to a private referral practice in Cheshire, accepting referrals for cosmetic dentistry, as well as restorative (tooth and implant) dentistry and full mouth rehabilitations.

His dental education has taken him across Europe and the USA, involving advanced courses in composite placement, ceramic laboratory seminars, and has recently returned from Istanbul where he studied alongside Dr Galip Gurel, one of the foremost dentists in porcelain veneers.

“The ability to change the way a person feel about their smile, along with experiencing the improved self image it gives them, is to me, me of lives most rewarding experiences.”
