Marian Vallina
Endontics
Marian graduated from Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2005.
At the University of Birmingham, Marian was recognised early on for the quality of her clinical work, winning the Junior Clinical Prize in 2003 and the Central Counties Branch of the BDA Prize in Restorative Dentistry in 2005.
In her fourth year, Marian carried out a 6 week elective study at the Birmingham Dental Hospital comparing the quality of root canal preparation by different endodontic files, for which she was awarded a grade A. In the final year, she undertook an optional Endodontic Special Study Module, learning Rotary Preparation and Thermoplastic Obturation Techniques prior to qualifying.
She then went onto complete her Vocational Training, during which time she won the prize for the best clinical case. Since then she has worked in several leading private practices within the UK and in Spain.
In 2007, Marian emigrated to Spain with her husband where they have successfully run their own private practice for the last 4 years. Marian decided to limit her practice to Endodontics and was awarded a place on the pretigous Masters Degree (MSc) in Endodontics at the European University of Madrid. She graduated from this course with an outstanding average grade of 92%.
In 2010, Marian moved to Manchester. As an endodontist Marian utilises the latest technologies and endodontic techniques. Rotary Nickel-titanium instrumentation, Ultrasonic irrigation and Thermoplastic obturation facilitate the three-dimensional disinfection and seal of root canals. The Surgical Operative Microscope provides enhanced magnification and illumination of complex root canal anatomy, allowing us to achieve more accurate and predictable results.
Marian also uses Digital Radiography, Digital Photography and when necessary 3D Cone Beam CT Imaging (NewTom), all of which assist her to provide accurate diagnosis and facilitate communication with her referring dentists.
"I am passionate about achieving the best results possible for my patients. I constantly seek the most cutting edge techniques from around the world. With the latest technology we can save teeth which would otherwise be lost. I believe that Root Canal Treatment should be done in a relaxed and comfortable way and always without pain."
