Dental Bonding - An Effective Option for Your Teeth?

There are many different types of cosmetic dental treatments to choose from that will improve the appearance of your teeth. Choice of treatment for an individual usually comes down to the following - cost, time and the end result. This is why The Smile Centre UK will always advise you to weigh up all possible options before making a decision.

Something that isn't known about as much as some of the other forms of cosmetic dentistry but we get asked a lot about is cosmetic bonding. Dental bonding can be used to close gaps in the teeth, eliminate discolouration or tooth stains, fill in cracks in the teeth, or for the instant repair of a broken front tooth. Composite bonding can also used to replace metal/silver fillings with a tooth coloured one which looks more natural. These are known as white fillings.

The cost of cosmetic dental bonding is not expensive when compared to the cost of other alternative cosmetic dental treatments and it's also fairly quick, with some treatment being done within the hour.

The resins used for dental bonding are layered over the tooth surface and sculptured into shape to achieve the desired results. Unlike veneers which would have to be replaced if they got damaged, teeth that have been bonded can simply be touched up again at the dentists.

Your regular tooth cleaning routine could easily damage your dental bonding by making it rough. Ask your cosmetic dentist to recommend a special polishing paste which will restore the shine and protect the bonding.

Hi Mary,I would advise you to try and gain some work exepnierce in a dental practice or hospital, and do anything you can to show potential employers that you are serious about becoming a dental nurse, for example, complete an approved first aid course, make sure you are up to date on CPR techniques, read about what is involved in being a dental nurse and learn as much as you can about the dental profession and dental treatments. There is lots for you to read about on my website!!With some exepnierce and knowledge behind you, you will be able to show your enthusiasm not only in your covering letter and CV, but also in an interview!!Good luck.Katy.
