Overcrowded Teeth Treatment
Overcrowded teeth are teeth that have grown too close together causing crooked teeth or an abnormal bite.
Usually the causes of overcrowded teeth are genetic. The upper and lower jaw can be too small, or the teeth may be too big for a normal sized jaw. Other causes can be a cleft lip and palate, having too many teeth or a problem with the teeth’s position after a fracture of the jaw that hasn’t healed very well.
There can be a risk of tooth decay or gum disease when teeth are overcrowded. Other complaints that may occur are strain on the teeth and jaw muscles which result in bad headaches and painful jaw problems.
