Stained Teeth

Stains on teeth are usually one of two types, intrinsic stains or extrinsic stains. Extrinsic stains are what usually appear on the outer layers of the teeth and are caused by poor oral hygiene and food and drink that are prone to staining. Intrinsic stains are found on the inner layers of teeth, these are harder to remove. Stains caused by smoking can penetrate through the layers of the teeth so can cause both extrinsic and intrinsic stains.

There are several treatments for stained teeth avaialble at The Smile Centre UK. These include;

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening has grown in popularity very quickly over the last few years in the UK. The reason for this is due to the amazing results they achieve. Teeth that have been stained or discoloured by red wine, tea and coffee, smoking or just through poor dental hygiene can now be transformed into brighter whiter smiles.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are the other option for badly stained teeth. Many of the Hollywood smiles you see TV and music celebrities sporting have all had helping hand in the veneer department.
