Can anybody have Botulinium Toxin® injections?
No, if you are breastfeeding or pregnant Botulinium Toxin® cannot be used. Anyone that has a neurological disease should not use Botulinium Toxin® either. Patients that are at risk of bleeding should take medical advice before considering Botox as there is an increased risk of bruising post procedure. These include people who have blood clotting disorders such as haemophilia, and those who take anticoagulant medicines such as Warfarin, Heparin, Aspirin and Anti-Inflammatory medicines.
How often can Botulinium Toxin® injections be given?
Not within 3 months of the last treatment
What areas can be treated with dermal fillers?
They can be used to create fuller lips, shape facial contours such as cheeks and chin and to smooth away wrinkles and facial lines such as frown lines.
How long do dermal filler procedures take?
Treatments take between 30 minutes and an hour.
How long do the results last?
Dermal fillers that are synthetically produced like the ones made of hydraulic acid are not permanent and usually last between 3 and 9 months depending on the amount used and the patient’s lifestyle.
Does lip enhancement treatment hurt?
A local anaesthetic is used to ensure treatment is pain free.
What will I look like immediately after the treatment?
There will be some redness and swelling, occasionally some bruising. This usually settles down in a few days.
How often should I have a top up?
About every 6 months or when you feel it is wearing off.
